Conquer-Space.net is renting a server and has to pay for it every month. All donations are directly used for this purpose. Conquer-Space.net is a non-profit organisation, so we don't have to pay taxes.
Conquer-Space.net has a transfer quota. This means that a user's data transfer to and from the game (not the homepage) is limited to a specific amount per day. In exchange for every Euro you donate we will increase your daily quota by 1MB for a month. If Gamma and Beta are running at the same time, the quota can be increased in both acounts without increase of cost.
In our opinion this arrangement makes sense, because users who donate help us finance the server. In general the quota was introduced to prevent disproportionate data transfer, in particular by using scripts.
A donation to Conquer-Space.net consists of two steps. First a chosen amount of money (in €) is transferred to our account:

It is also possible to send this information via the support form within the game. In any case it is essential to send this information if you want to receive extra quota.
The quota is usally added one day after the money reached our account. Please note that online-transfers within Germany usually take 2 workdays and regular transfers about 5 weekdays. Tranfers from foreign countries vary, but they should not take noticably longer than 10 weekdays.
You can also arrange standing orders. You then only have to send an e-mail with the above information once as long as you indicate that you arranged a standing order.
Please note that the quota for donations does not expire if you do not demand it immediately. You have to send the above information shortly after transfering the money, though.
